Return Policy
We genuinely want you to be happy with your JTL&L purchase. If you receive an item and it just isn’t what you had imagined, you can send it right back to us. Heck, we’re not even worried about the packaging! Get your leash out and take a look at the whole thing before you decide. You have 14 days after receiving your order to return it to us.
To initiate a return, just reach out to us via our contact page and let us know what’s going on. We’ll provide you with a return address so you can send it back to us (return shipping fees are your responsibility). When we receive your return, assuming it is in a clean and re-sellable condition, we will issue you a refund of the purchase price (including taxes and fees, minus the original shipping fees).
In the event that we accidentally send you the wrong item, or you discover a defect on arrival, we’ll take care of the associated shipping costs (both to return your item and to send you the right one) to get you the product you ordered. Just notify us within 14 days of receiving your order, and we’ll make it right.
We do not offer exchanges. Please return your item and place a new order. We’re happy to assist you in picking the correct item; just reach out.
Recrafting
Our products are built to last. They are handmade from high-quality components by a single craftsman. It is unlikely that you will experience any issues with workmanship or materials anytime soon. However, all materials eventually break down. That's why we have designed all of our products to be 100% recraftable!
For a $10 fee, we can disassemble, clean, reassemble with new parts, and then return your JTL&L product to you better than new (because it’s your favorite leash!). Any unusable components will be sorted and stored for bulk recycling. There are three ways to get your leash recrafted:
If you purchased your JTL&L product from one of our local resellers, you can simply drop it off there with your contact info and $10 cash. We’ll pick it up next time we’re in the shop to restock their supply. It won’t be fast, but we will repair it for ten bucks and drop it off back at the shop on our next trip over. They will reach out to let you know it’s available for pickup.
If your product was purchased from our website, you can mail it back to us for recrafting. You will need to pay for shipping both directions in addition to the $10 recrafting fee, but you will get your favorite leash back better than new for less than the cost of buying a new one. Please contact us to discuss the details.
If you bought your leash on our website but you are going to be near Joshua Tree, please contact us to set up a drop-off. We can do a drop-off and pickup, or mail it one way or the other at your expense.
Product Warnings and Precautions:
Always supervise your pet while using our leashes, leads and collars. Do not leave your pet unattended.
Ensure that leashes, Leads and collars are securely fastened and properly adjusted to prevent accidental escape or injury.
Regularly check for signs of wear and tear and replace any damaged or frayed leashes, leads or collars immediately.
Copper crimps could have sharp edges.
Any rope product could cause a rope burn or become a choking hazard for both humans and animals.
Dogs and horses can be unpredictable. Exercise caution and maintain control while using our products.
Do not tie your horse or dog in a way that may cause injury or restrict movement.
Always secure a lead to a safe and sturdy anchor point.
Use appropriate equipment based on the size and strength of your horse or dog.
Choose leads with suitable strength and durability.
Do not allow your pet or horse to chew on leashes, collars, or leads, as this may pose a choking hazard and/or weaken the product.
Introduce your pet or horse to the new leash or collar gradually to ensure they are comfortable and accepting of the product.
In case of any allergic reactions or irritation, discontinue use and consult with your veterinarian.
Slip Style collars and leashes are intended for training purposes.
